Surkhet Entrepreneurial Couple Donates Rs. 1.11 Million to Bhotekoshi Flood Victims

Surkhet-based entrepreneurs Deepak Budhakshetri and Himakumari Upadhyay have contributed Rs. 1.111 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund for people affected by floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers.

Surkhet Entrepreneurial Couple Donates Rs. 1.11 Million to Bhotekoshi Flood Victims

Surkhet-based entrepreneurs Deepak Budhakshetri and Himakumari Upadhyay have donated Rs. 1,111,111 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund for people affected by floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers.

The couple collected the contribution from prize money and awards received from various government agencies, along with income generated through their businesses.

They handed over the amount after meeting Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on Thursday.

The couple contributed a total of Rs. 400,000 received through four awards and honors, including the National Youth Talent Award 2078, President’s Women Entrepreneur Development Award 2080, National Youth Talent Award 2081, and Outstanding Women Entrepreneur Award 2082.

In addition, Rs. 311,111 was contributed by Bhawani Printing Press, Surkhet, while Gangamala Travels and Tours Pvt. Ltd., Yug Aahwan Daily/Alpha Communication Corner, Rara Printing Press Pvt. Ltd., and S Multi Business Pvt. Ltd. each contributed Rs. 100,000.

The couple deposited the funds through various transactions using Rastriya Banijya Bank and ConnectIPS, while an additional Rs. 200,000 was sent to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund through Fonepay.
