Taxpayer Incentive Prize: Rs. 21,000 Purchase Wins Rs. 1 Million Jackpot
Parsa resident Lalbabu Sah Kanu has won the Rs. 1 million taxpayer incentive jackpot after purchasing lubricant oil worth Rs. 21,000.
The taxpayer incentive prize for transactions made from Ashwin 1 to 15 has been announced under the Taxpayer Incentive Gift Program.
According to the latest announcement, Lalbabu Sah Kanu of Parsa has won the 15-day bumper prize worth Rs. 1 million. His transaction was selected after he purchased lubricant oil worth Rs. 21,000.
Director General of the Inland Revenue Department, Dr. Bhishma Kumar Bhusal, congratulated Kanu by phone and asked him to contact the nearest tax office to claim the prize.
According to the Inland Revenue Department, a total of 31,818,286 transactions made by consumers who obtained bills through cash and online purchases between Ashwin 1 and 15 were eligible for the incentive program.
Of the eligible transactions, 247,979 transactions were made through cash payments with bills. Meanwhile, 31,570,307 transactions involved purchases made through online or card payments.
The program is intended to encourage consumers to obtain official bills when purchasing goods and services and promote greater participation in the tax system.
