The meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The session, which had initially been suspended for 15 minutes at around 1:15 PM on Monday, was later formally adjourned through an official notice after lawmakers failed to reach a consensus.

Opposition parties have been obstructing parliamentary proceedings following remarks made by Prime Minister Balen Shah in Parliament a few days ago. During his address, the Prime Minister stated that Nepal had also encroached upon Indian territory, a comment that sparked strong criticism from opposition lawmakers.

The opposition has demanded that the Prime Minister return to Parliament and either clarify or correct his statement. Maintaining that position, opposition parties have continued their protests and disruptions inside the House.

As a result of the ongoing obstruction, the Parliament was unable to proceed with its scheduled business and legislative agenda.

The repeated disruptions have delayed discussions on important parliamentary matters, including budget-related deliberations and pending legislative proposals.

Parliament Secretariat officials stated that the next meeting of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, while efforts are expected to continue to resolve the political deadlock.
