Today, Baisakh 28, is the final day for shareholders to apply for the 100 percent rights shares issued by Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited. The company had opened the rights offering from Chaitra 22.

The hydropower company has issued 4 million rights shares worth Rs. 400 million in a 1:1 ratio based on its current paid-up capital. This means shareholders are eligible to apply for one additional share for every one share they currently hold.

The issue manager for the rights offering is NIC Asia Capital Limited. Eligible investors can apply through the Mero Share platform and C-ASBA member banks and financial institutions.

The company had closed its books on Falgun 1 for the purpose of the rights issue. Accordingly, only shareholders recorded until Magh 29 are eligible to participate in the offering.

Earlier, the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) granted approval for the rights issuance on Magh 21. The company stated that the funds raised through the rights issue will be used for project expansion and financial management.
