Today's Weather: Cloudy Skies Nationwide, Heavy Rain Likely in Five Provinces
Monsoon conditions continue across Nepal, with cloudy weather expected nationwide and a chance of heavy rainfall in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast cloudy conditions across Nepal today as the monsoon remains active over the country. The monsoon trough is currently positioned near its normal location, supporting widespread rainfall activity.
The department said that some hilly and mountainous areas may experience moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. Moderate rain is also likely in parts of the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with a few areas of Madhesh and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Heavy rainfall is expected at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces. Authorities have advised residents in flood- and landslide-prone areas to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
