UML Party Office at Chyasal Set to Be Vacated Following Government Notice
The CPN-UML central party office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, is set to be vacated after the Ministry of Land Management issued a notice to clear land being used under occupancy rights.

The central office of CPN-UML located in Chyasal, Lalitpur, is likely to be relocated after the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation issued a notice directing the party to vacate the land and structures being used under occupancy rights.
The UML had been using 12 ropani 6 aana 5 paisa 3 daam of land under the name of the Tulsi Lal Amatya Memorial Foundation after receiving Cabinet approval in Chaitra 2058 BS.
However, officials say the land has not yet been formally converted into a lease agreement, leading the government to initiate the process of reclaiming or regularizing the property.
The ministry’s notice has now pushed the issue into implementation, and discussions have begun regarding the possible relocation of the UML central office.
The Chyasal office has long served as the party’s primary political and administrative headquarters.
