United Ajod Insurance Limited has proposed distributing a 4.75% bonus share dividend along with a 0.25% cash dividend for tax purposes to its shareholders.

The decision was made during the company's 62nd Board of Directors meeting held on June 18. The company also approved its financial statements for the fiscal year 2024/25 in accordance with the Insurance Act 2022 and the Insurers' Financial Statement Directive 2023 and decided to submit them to the Nepal Insurance Authority for approval.

The proposed bonus shares will be distributed from the company's distributable profits based on its current paid-up capital of NPR 2.31 billion.

Under the proposal, shareholders will receive bonus shares equivalent to 4.75% of their holdings, while the 0.25% cash dividend will be used to cover the tax liability associated with the bonus shares.

According to the company, the proposed dividend distribution will be placed before the upcoming Annual General Meeting after obtaining final approval from the Nepal Insurance Authority.

Once approved by both the regulator and shareholders, the company will proceed with the dividend distribution process. The proposal reflects the insurer's continued commitment to rewarding shareholders while maintaining regulatory compliance.
