Upakar Laghubitta Approves Rights Share Proposal at Seventh AGM
Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has concluded its seventh Annual General Meeting, approving a proposal to move forward with the issuance of rights shares.

Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited successfully held its seventh Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Kathmandu on Sunday. The meeting, organized by the institution’s central office based in Kohalpur and held at Hotel Central Plaza, approved the financial statements and endorsed the proposal to proceed with the issuance of rights shares.
The AGM, chaired by the institution’s Chairperson Shanti Devi Dhakal, decided to coordinate with concerned regulatory bodies to complete the necessary process for the rights share issuance.
During the event, Chairperson of the parent organization Mahila Manch, Chandrakala Neupane, appreciated the progress made by the microfinance institution so far and suggested that it continue moving forward in a more effective and service-oriented manner. She also reaffirmed the continued support of Mahila Upakar Manch toward the institution.
Likewise, public shareholder Dilleshwor Karki stated that microfinance institutions are currently facing several challenges and emphasized that employees’ contributions during difficult times should be properly recognized.
Speaking at the AGM, Chairperson Dhakal shared updates regarding the institution’s overall progress, financial condition, and future plans, while expressing commitment to making the institution stronger, more transparent, and customer-focused.
