Diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran have reached a sensitive and decisive stage after months of geopolitical tensions. Pakistan, which has been actively mediating the discussions, says a formal peace agreement between the two countries could be implemented within the next 24 hours.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated on social media that the framework of the agreement has been completed and accepted by both parties. According to him, preparations for electronic signatures on the final document have already been finalized, while additional technical-level negotiations will continue afterward.

Iran has acknowledged that discussions are progressing positively but has stopped short of officially confirming that an agreement will be signed immediately. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urged observers not to draw conclusions until a final decision is formally announced.

US President Donald Trump has also expressed optimism regarding the negotiations, stating that both sides have reached common ground on the most contentious issues and that only a few technical and administrative procedures remain.

Although the final document has not yet been made public, reports suggest it includes provisions to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz, ease certain economic sanctions on Iran, restore access to frozen Iranian assets, and keep the door open for future negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

Given the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz to global energy supplies, analysts believe the agreement could help stabilize international oil markets and provide a positive boost to the global economy. However, Iran’s cautious approach means uncertainty remains over whether the agreement will be finalized within the projected timeframe.
