Vivo has introduced OriginOS 7, its latest operating system, with a focus on performance, artificial intelligence, multitasking, and seamless connectivity between devices.

The new operating system includes the Origin Smooth Engine, which Vivo says can reduce app cold-start time by 10% and improve page-switching performance by 11%. Its Memory Fusion feature can provide up to 25GB of additional memory on a 256GB device, while Dual Rendering is designed to improve rendering efficiency by 14.4%.

OriginOS 7 also introduces Origin Workbench, allowing users to manage up to five active applications within a single workspace. The system supports connectivity with a range of devices, including Apple Watch, AirPods, iPad, Mac, and Windows PCs.

Another major addition is the Jovi AI agent, which can assist users across connected devices with tasks such as retrieving files, summarizing information, and organizing scheduled tasks.

The operating system also features Snap Note, which can convert photographs of handwritten notes and presentation slides into editable documents.

Vivo said it conducted a 72-month anti-aging test to evaluate the operating system's performance over six years of daily use.

The OriginOS 7 Preview Program began on September 21 for the Vivo X300 Pro and selected iQOO devices in India, Thailand, and Malaysia. The rollout is expected to expand later to the X500 series, X Fold, and V series, with availability varying depending on the market.
