Yeti Airlines Halts High-Fare Ticket Sales for Outbound Kathmandu Flights During Dashain

Yeti Airlines Limited has suspended sales of high-fare tickets for passengers flying out of Kathmandu ahead of the Dashain festival. The private airline said the decision aims to reduce the financial burden on travelers during the peak festive period.

In a notice issued on Thursday, the airline announced that it would stop selling tickets under the highest fare category on flights departing from Kathmandu. Despite the sharp rise in passenger demand, outbound travelers will be offered tickets under mid-tier pricing categories.

For return flights into Kathmandu after the festival, the airline plans to offer lower-priced fares, citing comparatively limited passenger traffic on inbound routes. The strategy is intended to make air travel more affordable for passengers traveling during the festive period.

Airfares often come under pressure as demand rises around major holidays. By limiting the sale of its highest-priced outbound tickets, Yeti Airlines aims to provide some relief to passengers leaving the capital for Dashain.
