Bhagawati Hydropower Development Company Limited is a Nepal-based hydropower developer that builds and operates small-scale run-of-river hydroelectric projects. Its flagship project is the Bijayapur‑1 Hydropower Project, a 4.5 MW run-of-river plant on the Bijayapur river in Pokhara / Kaski district. The project began commercial operations in 2069 B.S. and supplies electricity to the national grid under a power-purchase agreement (PPA) with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). BGWT was originally established on 3rd of Poush 2057 B.S. as a private company and converted into a public limited company on 6th of Baisakh 2075 B.S. The company’s head office is located at Subidhanagar, Tinkune, Kathmandu, Nepal. As a publicly listed company on the stock exchange (symbol “BGWT”), BGWT offers equity to the public and is subject to regulatory and disclosure standards. Its financials have shown that the company has a paid-up capital and shares outstanding as per its listing record.
