Dolti Power Company Limited is a Nepalese renewable energy developer established on April 7, 2013, initially as a privately held company. The organization later transitioned into a publicly traded entity on July 15, 2021, expanding transparency, public participation, and long-term investment opportunities in Nepal’s hydropower sector. The company owns and operates the 4.5 MW Padam Khola Run-of-River Hydropower Project located in the Dailekh district of Karnali Province. Designed with a Q40 probability of exceedance and a discharge capacity of 2.27 cubic meters per second, the plant is engineered for stable, sustainable, and efficient electricity production aligned with Nepal’s national energy requirements. Remarkably, the project achieved commercial operation on December 24, 2019, significantly ahead of its originally scheduled completion date of February 20, 2021. The total project cost was approximately NPR 1,101 million, translating to about NPR 245 million per megawatt—reflecting strong project management and cost discipline. The financing structure consisted of a debt-to-equity ratio of around 66:34, showcasing balanced financial planning and strong lender support.
