Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Company Limited (MBJCL) is a prominent hydropower company in Nepal established to develop the 102 MW Middle Bhotekoshi Hydroelectric Project, a major run-of-river scheme located in Sindhupalchok District. The company operates under the joint ownership of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC), and the general public, making it one of Nepal’s largest publicly invested hydropower ventures. The Middle Bhotekoshi project is strategically designed to enhance Nepal’s energy security by supplying reliable electricity to the national grid.
