Multipurpose Finance Limited is a financial institution in Nepal, classified as a “Class-C” finance company licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). It was established in the year 2054 B.S. (in Nepali calendar). MPFL operates with its headquarter in Rajbiraj, Saptari, and its corporate office in Janakpurdham-4, Dhanusha. MPFL provides a variety of financial services to its customers, including savings and fixed-deposit accounts, different types of savings schemes (General Saving, Super Saving, Narikalyan Saving, Balbachat Saving, Jestha Nagarik Saving), and various loan products such as housing loans, agriculture loans, personal loans, loans against fixed deposits, hire-purchase loans, and business loans. In addition to traditional banking-type services, MPFL also supports digital banking channels: customers can use services like inter-bank payments, online fund transfers, and mobile/SMS banking (including via its “MPFL Smart App”) for convenient access, reflecting the company’s push towards modern, accessible financial services. MPFL positions itself as a finance company committed to financial inclusion, good corporate governance, risk management, and corporate social responsibility aiming to serve not only its customers, but also contribute to economic welfare and development in its region, especially in Madhesh Province.
