NMB 50

NMB 50 is a closed-ended, equity-oriented mutual fund scheme managed by NMB Capital Limited, under the broader umbrella of NMB Bank Limited.The scheme was launched to mobilize public funds via a public issue of 120,000,000 units at NPR 10 each raising a fund size of NPR 1.20 Arba. NMB 50’s mandate is to invest primarily in equity (shares of listed companies), with the goal of long-term capital appreciation, making it an option for investors looking for exposure to Nepal’s stock market via a professionally managed fund. As a closed-ended scheme, NMB 50 has a finite maturity period originally designed as a 7-year fund. Over its lifespan, the fund periodically publishes its Net Asset Value (NAV), giving unitholders insight into the per-unit value based on the underlying asset portfolio. For instance, in a recent monthly NAV report, the fund’s investments included large allocations in listed shares, fixed deposits, public issues, bonds/debentures, and cash/bank balances. NMB 50 also pays dividends: for fiscal year 2081/82, the scheme declared a 15% cash dividend (including tax) to its unitholders.
