Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited is a Nepalese pharmaceutical company that manufactures and supplies a wide range of allopathic medicines for human (and in some cases veterinary) use. Founded in 2017, OMPL began as a private limited company, but in July 2022 it converted into a public limited company in anticipation of raising capital and reaching public markets. The company’s manufacturing plant is located in Jugedi-29, Chitwan, Nepal, spanning about 22,044 square feet and equipped with modern facilities and machinery. OMPL produces a variety of dosage forms including tablets, capsules, dry syrups, creams, ointments, and eye/ear drops covering major therapeutic categories like cardio-diabetic, neuro-psychiatric, and general medicines. Its stated vision is to become a global pharmaceutical company compliant with cGMP standards and European regulatory norms, aiming to deliver high-quality medicines at affordable prices and extend its reach beyond Nepal. After completing its IPO, OMPL was listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) under the ticker symbol “OMPL” on 30 April 2025. The total paid-up capital is NPR 600,000,000, based on 6,000,000 shares at a par value of NPR 100 each. Since its listing, OMPL has drawn attention for its significant share-price volatility in the 52-week window, its share price has oscillated between a low of around NPR 270 and a high above NPR 2,167, reflecting investor speculation and sectoral volatility.
