Sanjen Jalavidhyut Company Limited (SJCL) is a government-promoted hydropower company established under the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to develop and operate key hydropower projects within the Trishuli River corridor. The company develops the 42.5 MW Sanjen Hydroelectric Project and the 14.6 MW Lower Sanjen Hydroelectric Project, both located in the Rasuwa District. These run-of-river projects contribute reliable renewable energy to Nepal’s national grid through long-term Power Purchase Agreements with NEA. SJCL operates with a focus on technical excellence, environmental compliance, community engagement, and transparent corporate governance. As a publicly listed company on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), it plays a significant role in enhancing Nepal’s clean energy capacity and supporting sustainable national development.
