API Power Company Limited has appointed Shishir Bhattarai as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a leadership change at the hydropower firm.

The decision was made during the company’s Board of Directors meeting held on Chaitra 16, 2082. According to the company, Bhattarai’s appointment will come into effect from Chaitra 17.

Bhattarai, a resident of Tilottama Municipality–5 in Rupandehi district, brings experience and leadership to the role as the company looks to strengthen its operational and strategic direction.

The appointment comes at a time when Nepal’s hydropower sector continues to expand, with companies focusing on project execution, capacity growth, and improving financial performance.

Market participants will closely watch the company’s performance under the new leadership, particularly in terms of project delivery and shareholder value creation.
