Bandipur Cable Car to Launch IPO for Locals and Migrant Workers from July 21
Bandipur Cable Car & Tourism Ltd is set to issue IPO shares worth Rs 112.9 million from July 21 to project-affected locals and Nepalis working abroad.

Kathmandu, July 14, 2025 — Bandipur Cable Car & Tourism Limited is set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) from July 21 (Shrawan 6), targeting project-affected local residents and Nepali citizens working abroad under official labor permits.
The company had received approval to issue 5.86 million ordinary shares worth Rs 586 million—equivalent to 20.7067% of its Rs 2.83 billion issued capital. In the first phase, it will issue 566,000 shares worth Rs 56.6 million to local residents of the affected areas at a face value of Rs 100 per share.
Eligible applicants include residents of all wards of Bandipur Rural Municipality and Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality in Tanahun District, Ward 1 of Bhanu Municipality, and Ward 7 of Palungtar Municipality in Gorkha District. These residents can apply directly from designated local offices with a nominal application fee of Rs 2.
In parallel, the company will issue 529,400 shares worth Rs 52.94 million—10% of the public portion—to Nepali citizens employed abroad with valid labor permits. These applicants can apply online via the Mero Share platform or through participating banks using the C-ASBA system.
The minimum application size is 10 shares, and the maximum is 20,000 shares.
IPO closing date for locals: Earliest by August 4 (Shrawan 20), latest by August 20 (Bhadra 4)
IPO closing date for migrant workers: Earliest by July 24 (Shrawan 9), latest by August 4 (Shrawan 20)
The company has appointed Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited as the issue and sales manager.
Care Ratings Nepal has assigned a rating of CARE-NP BB (Issuer Rating) to the company, indicating moderate credit risk regarding its financial obligations.
The estimated total cost of the project stands at Rs 3.85 billion, with a simple payback period of 8.22 years, and a discounted payback period of 11.05 years, reflecting a moderately long investment horizon.
