Barun Hydropower Allots 1:1 Right Shares; 4.45% Remain Unclaimed
Barun Hydropower has allotted over 5.1M right shares to 28,755 applicants; 4.45% of the issue went unsubscribed.

Barun Hydropower Company Limited (BARUN) has completed the allotment of its 1:1 ratio right shares on Bhadra 17, 2082. The process followed the company’s rights offering, which had opened on 31st Ashadh and closed on 3rd Bhadra, 2082.
Out of the total 5,358,150 units offered, 5,119,707 shares were allotted to 28,755 applicants. The remaining 238,443 units, or 4.45% of the issue, went unclaimed by eligible shareholders.
The company had earlier declared its book closure date on 22nd Jestha, 2082, determining investor eligibility for subscription. Refunds for non-allotted applicants began on Bhadra 18, 2082.
The allotment signals steady investor interest in the hydropower sector, although the unsubscribed portion highlights pockets of muted participation. Analysts note that while right share issues provide existing shareholders an opportunity to maintain their stakes, subscription gaps often reflect short-term liquidity constraints in the broader market.
