Dim Prasad Paudel Appointed Chairman of Agricultural Development Bank
Dim Prasad Paudel has been appointed chairman of Agricultural Development Bank, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience.

Kathmandu, Aug 27 (Nepalytix) — Agricultural Development Bank Ltd has appointed board member Dim Prasad Paudel as chairman, filling the position left vacant after former chair Ram Sharan Pudasaini was appointed to the Administrative Staff College.
The decision was made during the bank’s board meeting on Wednesday.
Paudel, a former general manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation, brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in both domestic and multinational private sector companies. His appointment is expected to strengthen the bank’s governance and strategic direction as it continues to expand lending to agriculture, rural enterprises, and infrastructure.
Agricultural Development Bank, one of Nepal’s largest state-owned commercial banks, plays a key role in financing priority sectors including agriculture, SMEs, and hydropower. Market watchers say Paudel’s background in both corporate and public institutions positions him to steer the bank through evolving challenges in credit growth, digital banking, and financial inclusion.
