Dol Prasad Aryal Elected Unopposed as Speaker of House of Representatives
RSP MP Dol Prasad Aryal has been elected unopposed as Speaker of the House of Representatives after no other candidates filed nominations.

Member of Parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Dol Prasad Aryal, has been elected unopposed as the Speaker of the House of Representatives after he was the only candidate to file nomination within the designated time period.
The nomination window for the Speaker election was open from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM today, during which no other candidates registered their candidacy, leading to an uncontested election.
Aryal filed his nomination with the proposal of RSP President and MP Ravi Lamichhane, and was supported by several lawmakers including Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, and Physical Infrastructure Minister Sunil Lamsal.
With no rival candidates entering the race, his election was effectively secured. The formal announcement of his appointment as Speaker is expected to be made in the upcoming session of the House of Representatives.
