Final Day to Apply for Units of NIC Asia Equity Linked Investment Scheme
Thursday is the last day for investors to apply for units of NIC Asia Equity Linked Investment Scheme, a NPR 5B open-ended fund.

Kathmandu, Aug 28 (Nepalytix) — Today marks the final opportunity for investors to apply for units of the NIC Asia Equity Linked Investment Scheme, which opened for public subscription on Shrawan 29.
Managed by NIC Asia Capital Ltd under the NIC Asia Bank Mutual Fund, the scheme is structured as an open-ended equity-linked plan. Units are offered at a par value of NPR 10, with a total of 500 million units equivalent to NPR 5 billion made available to the public.
Out of 1 billion authorized units, 15% (150 million units worth NPR 1.5 billion) have been reserved as seed capital by NIC Asia Bank, while 500 million units were allocated for public sale.
Applications require a minimum purchase of 100 units, with investors allowed to apply for up to 10 million units. The scheme requires at least 50% of the offered units to be subscribed for allotment; otherwise, it will be canceled and applicants refunded within 15 days.
The issue manager is NIC Asia Capital Ltd. Investors can apply through ASBA-approved banks and financial institutions or via the Mero Share web portal and app.
The scheme has received an “IRN BBB Issuer Rating” from Infomerics Credit Rating Nepal for the promoter and a “CARENP AMC Quality 3+” rating for the scheme manager from ICRA Nepal, signaling moderate creditworthiness and average fund management quality.
Analysts say the offering reflects growing appetite for equity-linked mutual funds in Nepal, as investors seek diversified exposure beyond traditional banking and hydropower stocks.
