Gold and Silver Hit All-Time Highs in Nepal

Gold and silver prices in Nepal reached unprecedented levels on Monday, Aswin 27, marking a new milestone in the local bullion market. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of gold coins rose by NPR 2,400 per tola, closing at NPR 240,400 per tola. This surpasses the previous record of NPR 239,200 per tola set on Aswin 23.

Silver also hit an all-time high, gaining NPR 95 per tola to trade at NPR 3,220 per tola, up from NPR 3,125 per tola on Sunday. The surge in precious metal prices reflects sustained domestic demand amid global economic uncertainty and local market dynamics.

Market analysts note that this historic surge could further influence investment patterns, with gold and silver remaining key hedges against currency fluctuations and inflation in Nepal.
