Gold and Silver Prices Decline Again; Here’s Today’s Trading Rate

Gold and silver prices continued to decline in the Nepali market on Friday, marking another correction after several sessions of sharp volatility. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold fell by Rs. 900 per tola to Rs. 252,400. Gold had traded at Rs. 253,300 per tola on Thursday.

Silver registered a steeper decline in percentage terms, dropping by Rs. 70 per tola to Rs. 3,555. This comes after Thursday’s trading level of Rs. 3,625 per tola, reflecting broader weakness in the precious metals segment following recent highs.

Bullion traders attribute the latest decline to global market corrections, shifting investor sentiment, and profit-taking after a strong rally earlier in the week. Analysts expect short-term volatility to persist as international markets respond to geopolitical developments, US dollar movements, and interest-rate expectations.

Despite the decline, demand for physical gold and silver in Nepal remains seasonally strong due to weddings and year-end festivities.
