Gold Price Declines by Rs 1,000 While Silver Edges Higher in Nepal Market
Gold fell by Rs 1,000 per tola on Tuesday, while silver gained Rs 15 as Nepal’s precious metals market moved in opposite directions.

Nepal’s bullion market moved in opposite directions on Tuesday as gold prices retreated while silver continued to strengthen. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold declined by Rs 1,000 per tola, settling at Rs 251,900. This compares with Monday’s rate of Rs 252,900 per tola.
Silver, however, posted a modest gain. The metal rose by Rs 15 per tola, trading at Rs 3,600 on Tuesday, up from Rs 3,585 per tola the previous day.
Market analysts attribute the contrasting movements to fluctuations in global precious metal markets, where gold has softened amid profit-taking, while silver remains supported by industrial demand.
The mixed trend suggests continued short-term volatility in Nepal’s bullion market, with traders closely tracking international price cues.
