Gold Prices Dip by Rs. 2,900 per Tola in Nepal, Silver Also Edges Lower
Gold and silver prices saw a modest decline in Nepal, with gold falling by Rs. 2,900 per tola amid global market fluctuations.
Gold prices in Nepal recorded a modest decline in the latest trading session, reflecting ongoing volatility in the domestic and international bullion markets.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold fell by Rs. 2,900 per tola to Rs. 285,600 per tola. This represents a decline from Wednesday’s rate of Rs. 288,500 per tola.
Silver prices also edged lower, declining by Rs. 100 per tola to Rs. 4,820 per tola. Despite the drop, silver prices remained unchanged compared to the previous day’s quoted level, indicating relative stability in the white metal.
The movement in domestic prices comes amid fluctuations in the global bullion market. Internationally, gold is trading at approximately USD 5,170 per ounce, while silver stands at around USD 85 per ounce, according to media reports.
Market participants note that despite elevated global prices, short-term corrections are common due to shifts in demand, currency movements, and investor sentiment. These factors continue to influence local pricing dynamics in Nepal.
