Gold Prices Edge Up by NPR 400, Silver Holds Steady in Nepal Market

Gold prices in the Nepalese market continued their upward trend for the fourth consecutive day, rising NPR 400 per tola on Monday, July 21, 2025 (Shrawan 5). According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, hallmark gold is now trading at NPR 193,700 per tola, up from NPR 193,300 on Sunday.

This gradual rise reflects international gold movement as well as domestic demand resilience amid fluctuating currency conditions.

Silver prices, however, remained unchanged, with the metal trading at NPR 2,285 per tola, the same as the previous day.

Gold has gained consistently in recent sessions, signaling ongoing safe-haven demand and investor hedging against macroeconomic uncertainties. Market analysts anticipate cautious trading ahead of global economic cues and local festive demand.
