Gold and silver prices recorded a sharp decline in the Nepali market on Thursday, with gold dropping by Rs. 9,500 per tola amid volatility in the international bullion market.

Gold Prices Fall Sharply by Rs. 9,500 per Tola as Silver Also Declines in Nepal

Gold and silver prices fell significantly in the domestic market on Thursday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold declined by Rs. 9,500 per tola in a single day.

As per the latest rate, fine gold is being traded at Rs. 295,200 per tola. In the previous trading session on Wednesday, gold was priced at Rs. 304,700 per tola.

Silver prices also witnessed a notable drop. The price of silver decreased by Rs. 620 per tola, settling at Rs. 4,980 per tola. On Wednesday, silver was traded at Rs. 5,600 per tola.

The federation stated that fluctuations in the international gold market have had a direct impact on local bullion prices, leading to the sharp decline observed in both gold and silver.
