Gold Prices Hold Steady at Record High, Silver Declines
Gold in Nepal’s market remained steady at a record high of NPR 214,700 per tola, while silver slipped by NPR 10 per tola.

Gold prices in Nepal’s market held firm on Wednesday, trading at a record NPR 214,700 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
The price stability comes after sharp gains earlier this week, when gold climbed from NPR 211,600 per tola on Monday to its current peak, underscoring strong demand and global price support. Traders say the stability at record levels reflects both investor interest in safe-haven assets and the impact of international bullion trends.
Silver, however, slipped on the day. Prices fell by NPR 10 to NPR 2,505 per tola, down from Tuesday’s NPR 2,515 per tola, which had marked its own record high. The divergence between gold and silver highlights shifting investor sentiment within precious metals, as silver faces relatively weaker demand compared with gold’s safe-haven appeal.
