Gold Prices Rise While Silver Declines in the Nepali Market

Gold prices in Nepal climbed on Monday, even as silver recorded a mild decline. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold rose by Rs. 700 per tola, reaching Rs. 252,900, compared to Rs. 252,200 on Sunday.

Silver, however, moved in the opposite direction, easing by Rs. 20 per tola. It traded at Rs. 3,585 per tola, down from Sunday’s Rs. 3,605, which had marked a record high.

The divergence reflects mixed momentum across precious metals, with gold benefiting from safe-haven demand while silver adjusts after recent sharp gains. Market analysts note that both metals continue to respond closely to global price movements and currency fluctuations.
