Gold and silver prices in Nepal surged to new record levels on Wednesday, continuing a daily streak of gains in the domestic bullion market, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation.

The price of fine gold increased by Rs 900 per tola to reach Rs 268,100, marking the highest level ever recorded in the Nepali market. The latest rise broke Tuesday’s record, when gold had traded at Rs 267,200 per tola. Prices of the yellow metal have been setting new highs on a near-daily basis in recent sessions.

Silver prices also climbed sharply, posting another record. The metal gained Rs 165 per tola to trade at Rs 4,420, surpassing the previous high of Rs 4,255 recorded a day earlier.

Traders say the sustained rally reflects strong momentum in international precious metals markets, alongside firm local demand. Market participants continue to track global price movements for cues, as bullion prices remain on an upward trajectory.
