Gold Slips, Silver Scales Record High
Gold prices declined in Nepal, while silver surged to a fresh all-time high, reflecting divergent trends in the bullion market.

Gold prices edged lower in the Nepali market on Wednesday, while silver climbed to a new record, underscoring contrasting movements across precious metals.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation, the price of gold fell by Rs 400 per tola to Rs 267,700. In the previous trading session on Tuesday, gold had been traded at Rs 268,100 per tola.
Silver, meanwhile, extended its rally, rising by Rs 55 per tola to Rs 4,935, marking a fresh all-time high in the domestic market. The latest price surpassed the previous record of Rs 4,935 per tola set on Poush 14. On Tuesday, silver was traded at Rs 4,880 per tola.
The divergent price movements reflect changing demand dynamics in the local bullion market, with silver continuing to attract strong interest amid broader price volatility.
