The Government of Nepal has announced a reduction in official working hours for all government offices nationwide. Starting Kartik 16 until Magh 15, offices will now operate from 10 AM to 4 PM. On Fridays, the closing time will be 3 PM, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The adjustment is a seasonal measure to account for shorter daylight hours during winter months. This annual reduction of one hour in office timing is aimed at improving efficiency and convenience for both employees and citizens.
