Government to Issue NPR 10 Billion Development Bond Today; Internal Debt Collection Schedule Released
The Government of Nepal is set to auction NPR 10 billion worth of development bonds today, July 22 (Shrawan 7). It has also published the internal debt collection schedule for FY 2082/83, targeting a total borrowing of NPR 362 billion.

Kathmandu, July 22 —
The Government of Nepal will auction NPR 10 billion worth of three-year Development Bond–2085 today, as part of its plan to raise internal debt for fiscal year 2082/83.
According to the Public Debt Management Office, the auction will be held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The bond will offer semi-annual interest and is subject to income tax. Investors will also be able to use it as collateral to obtain loans from banks and financial institutions.
Moreover, this bond will be tradable on the secondary market via the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).
