Jhapa Energy to Float 950,475-Unit IPO After Securing SEBON Approval

Jhapa Energy Ltd. has received approval from the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) to launch its Initial Public Offering (IPO). The approval was granted on Ashad 31, 2082 (July 15, 2025).

The company is set to issue a total of 950,475 units of ordinary shares, equivalent to NPR 95,047,500 in public equity.

Jhapa Energy recently completed construction of a 10 MW solar power plant, which officially started commercial electricity generation from Magh 10, 2080 (January 24, 2024).

The IPO will be managed by Himalayan Capital Ltd., a leading issue manager in Nepal's capital market. The offering is expected to attract significant investor interest given the company's operational status and growing focus on renewable energy.
