LS Capital Limited has officially closed fund collection for its inaugural private equity fund—the Laxmi Sustainable Energy Fund (LSEF)—with a total size of NPR 1 billion.

The fund, sponsored by Laxmi Sunrise Bank Limited and managed by LS Capital, represents a milestone in channeling private equity into renewable energy and sustainability-focused projects across Nepal.

LS Capital emphasized its adherence to global best practices by pledging to the Operating Principles for Impact Management, underscoring its commitment to diligence, transparency, and responsible investing.

The closing of LSEF is expected to unlock new opportunities in Nepal’s clean energy sector, supporting projects that align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. Market analysts note that such funds could play a pivotal role in bridging the investment gap in renewable energy infrastructure, at a time when Nepal aims to expand hydropower exports and strengthen its green economy.
