Mero Microfinance Declares 5% Dividend for FY 2024/25
Mero Microfinance Laghubitta has announced a 5% dividend from last fiscal year’s profit, comprising bonus shares and a small cash component.
Mero Microfinance Laghubitta Financial Institution Limited has announced a dividend distribution to its shareholders from the profit of the previous fiscal year, the company said on Tuesday.
Based on the current paid-up capital, the board of directors has approved a total dividend of 5%, amounting to Rs 70.95 million. The proposed payout includes 4.75% in bonus shares and 0.25% in cash dividend allocated for tax purposes.
The decision was taken at a board meeting held on Poush 8 (December 23). The dividend will be distributed after obtaining approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement by the company’s upcoming annual general meeting.
Listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange under the trading symbol MERO, the announcement is expected to be closely watched by investors tracking dividend trends in Nepal’s microfinance sector.
