Kathmandu, Oct 16: Thursday is the last trading day to secure dividend eligibility for Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited (MNBBL) before it closes its books on Ashoj 31 (Friday) for its upcoming 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and dividend distribution purposes.

The AGM is scheduled to take place on Kartik 15 (Saturday) at Hotel Pokhara Grande, Pardi, Birauta, Pokhara, starting from 10:00 AM.

As per the board’s proposal, the bank will distribute a total 18.20% dividend, comprising 13.53% bonus shares and 4.67% cash dividend (for tax purposes on the bonus shares).

In addition to the dividend proposal, the meeting will also discuss and approve key resolutions including:

  • Upgradation of the bank into a commercial bank,

  • Amendments to the bank’s Memorandum and Articles of Association,

  • Authorization to the Board for potential mergers or acquisitions with suitable financial institutions, and

  • Appointment of the external auditor for the next fiscal year.

Market analysts note that the bank’s consistent dividend distribution and plan for conversion into a commercial bank could enhance long-term investor confidence.
