Nabil Bank Expands International Payment Service to 27 Branches Nationwide

Nabil Bank Ltd., one of Nepal’s largest commercial banks, has expanded its international payment service to 27 branches nationwide, sharply increasing customer access to cross-border payment facilities. Previously, the service was available only at the bank’s Thapathali head office and a few key branches in Kathmandu, Biratnagar, and Pokhara.

According to Deputy CEO Adarsha Bajgain, the expansion aims to strengthen Nabil’s digital banking capabilities and international service reach. With the upgraded footprint, customers will now be able to conduct international payments easily and securely through Nabil’s online payment platform.

The bank stated that customers can use the service to make a wide range of cross-border payments, including visa application fees, university and college application fees, insurance payments, ACCA fees, and payments for educational and business conferences. Notably, customers do not require a separate international card to use the service.

Within the Kathmandu Valley, the service is now available at branches in Thapathali, Putalisadak, Maharajgunj, Bhatbhateni, Kalanki/Kuleshwar, Thamel, Tripureshwor, Bijulibazar, Maitidevi, Halchowk, Satdobato, Kaushaltar, Baneshwor, Gusingal, Koteshwor, Bhaisipati, and Jorpati.

Outside the Valley, branches in Itahari, Birgunj, Birtamode, Hetauda, Butwal, Bhairahawa, Narayangadh, Nepalgunj, Biratnagar, and Pokhara now offer the service.

Nabil Bank, which serves more than 2.5 million customers, operates 268 branches and 321 ATMs across Nepal. As a pioneer in Nepali banking for over four decades, the bank continues to expand digital innovations and enhance international payment infrastructure.
