Nepal Bank Decides Against Dividend Distribution
Nepal Bank has decided not to distribute any dividend from last fiscal year’s profit, opting to retain earnings instead.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) has decided not to distribute any dividend to its shareholders from the profit of the previous fiscal year.
The decision was made during a meeting of the bank’s Board of Directors held on Poush 3. According to the bank, the board has also resolved to forward the approved financial statements to Nepal Rastra Bank for regulatory review in line with prevailing banking regulations.
The move indicates the bank’s intention to retain earnings, potentially to strengthen capital adequacy, improve balance-sheet resilience, or meet regulatory requirements. Dividend decisions by commercial banks are subject to approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and are influenced by profitability, capital position, and supervisory guidelines.
