Nepal Insurance Opens 34.78% Rights Issue From Today
Nepal Insurance opens applications for a 34.78% rights issue from July 22, offering over 6.5 million shares at NPR 100 par value.

Nepal Insurance Company Ltd. (NICL) has opened its 34.783% rights share issue from July 22, 2025 (Shrawan 6), offering eligible shareholders the opportunity to apply until August 10 (Shrawan 26).
The offering allows 3.4783 new shares for every 10 shares held, translating to a total issuance of 6,576,967.76 units at a par value of NPR 100 per share, totaling NPR 657.7 million.
The book closure for rights eligibility was announced on June 13 (Jestha 30). Shareholders recorded by June 12 (Jestha 29) are eligible to participate in the issue.
The company has received a credit rating of IRN A- (Issuer) from Infomerics Credit Rating Nepal, indicating an adequate degree of safety in meeting financial obligations in a timely manner.
NICL’s current paid-up capital stands at NPR 1.89 billion, which will increase to NPR 2.5485 billion post-issuance.
