Nepal Life Insurance has released its bonus rates for fiscal year 2081/82, managing to keep the payout structure stable despite a challenging economic climate. The insurer announced bonus allocations ranging from Rs 55 to Rs 85 per thousand sum assured, based on actuarial assessments of its financial performance and liabilities for the previous fiscal year. The new rates apply to all participating life insurance policies issued by the company.

Chief Executive Officer Praveen Raman Parajuli credited the company’s strategic decisions and the support of stakeholders including policyholders, agents, employees, shareholders, and regulators for enabling Nepal Life to maintain consistency in its bonus structure. Parajuli expressed appreciation to all parties involved, highlighting that disciplined management has allowed the insurer to preserve policyholder value even amid economic uncertainty.

The insurer published detailed bonus slabs across its various product categories, including term endowment, child plans, single premium policies, and lifelong insurance products. Rates vary by policy type and duration.

Endowment based products such as Surakshit Jeevan, Jeevan Jyoti, Graminal Endowment, and education linked plans carry bonus rates of Rs 60 per thousand for terms up to 20 years, Rs 70 for terms between 21–25 years, and Rs 82 for durations above 26 years.

Newer product lines like "Naulo Surakshit" and "Naulo Ketaketi Jeevan" offer Rs 65 for terms up to 20 years, Rs 72 for terms between 21–25 years, and Rs 82 for terms exceeding 26 years.

Under the Jeevan Samunnati category, bonus rates range from Rs 56 per thousand for shorter durations to Rs 70 for longer terms above 26 years.

The insurer's Sunauulo Bhawishya plans both single premium and regular feature bonus rates between Rs 55 and Rs 65 depending on tenure.

Child-focused Sunauulo Bhawishya policies maintain a rate of Rs 60 for terms up to 19 years and Rs 62 for 20–25 years.
