Nepali Army Arrests 21 in Kathmandu-Bhaktapur Looting Incidents Amid Crisis
The Nepali Army arrested 21 people in overnight looting incidents across Kathmandu and Bhaktapur; investigations underway.

The Nepali Army (NA) confirmed today that it has arrested 21 individuals involved in multiple looting incidents across Kathmandu and Bhaktapur districts last night, taking advantage of the prevailing adverse situation in the country.
According to the Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Nepali Army, the suspects were apprehended while attempting to loot properties in Bouddha and at Hotel Hyatt in Kathmandu, as well as at Bhatbhateni Supermarket in Radheradhe, Bhaktapur.
In a related incident, security personnel detained five more individuals for their alleged involvement in a heist at Rastriya Banijya Bank in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.
The Army stated that all suspects are in custody, and further investigations are ongoing to identify and prosecute those responsible. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security forces to ensure law and order during these challenging times.
