Kathmandu, Aug 27 (Nepalytix) — Nepali feature film Koshedhunga has received a universal certificate from Nepal’s Film Censor Board, clearing it for viewing by all age groups ahead of its global release this Thursday.

Directed by Saroj Paudel, the film is scheduled to premiere simultaneously in Nepal and more than 40 countries, including the U.S., Australia, Japan, the U.K., and Canada. The project is distributed internationally by Seven Seas International, led by Patrick Subedi and Ramesh Dhakal.

The drama, centered on strong female leads, features performances by Surakshya Panta, Aryan Sigdel, Richa Sharma, Manjil Kumar, Niti Shah, Praveen Khatiwada, Hiuwala Gautam, Saroj Khanal, Bishal Pahadi, Dinesh Kafle, and Lokmani Sapkota.

Produced by Prebil Kandel and Kishor Anurag with executive producer Dinesh Khadka, Koshedhunga brings together an experienced crew including cinematographer Babu Shrestha, editor Nahkul Khadka, and composers Ashish Aviral and Rhythm Kandel.

Shot in scenic locations across Syangja’s Aadhikhola, Triveni, Sirubari, and Kathmandu, the film’s teasers, trailers, and songs have already generated strong audience buzz. Analysts expect Koshedhunga to secure commercial success given its storytelling, star cast, and wide international release.

Paudel, who earlier directed the acclaimed documentary Purna Bahadur’s Sarangi, has written and directed this film, further heightening anticipation. Advance bookings have already opened, with a premiere event scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
