Nepse Declines Again as Turnover Eases Slightly
Nepse retreated by 7.86 points to close at 2,606.20 on Wednesday, with market turnover also edging down slightly from the previous session.

Nepal’s stock market slipped back into negative territory on Wednesday, reversing the mild recovery seen a day earlier. The Nepse Index fell 7.86 points, closing at 2,606.20, as selling pressure resurfaced across most sectors.
Key sub-indices also weakened, with the Sensitive Index down 0.86 points, the Float Index lower by 0.53 points, and the Sensitive Float Index declining 0.28 points.
Market turnover eased marginally, totaling NPR 3.738 billion, slightly below Tuesday’s NPR 3.75 billion. Trading activity spanned 329 stocks and 91,394 transactions, with total volume reaching 8.647 million shares.
Three stocks hit the positive circuit limit: Swastik Laghubitta, Muktinath Krishi Company, and SY Panel Nepal.
Other notable gainers included Laxmi Laghubitta (up over 8%) and Thrishakti Hydropower (up over 7%).
On the downside, Jhapa Energy recorded the sharpest decline, plunging 9.30%.
By turnover, Srinagar Agritech Industries led the market with transactions worth NPR 263.9 million, followed by Ngadi Group Power (over NPR 170 million) and Universal Power Company (over NPR 110 million).
Of the 13 sectoral indices, only the Mutual Fund sub-index closed higher, while the remaining 12 sectors declined—though all posted losses of less than 1%.
