NEPSE Falls 5.54 Points in Sunday’s Pre-Open, Closes at 2,714.23
NEPSE slipped 5.54 points to 2,714.23 in Sunday’s pre-open session; 13 stocks advanced, 28 declined.

On the first trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued its downward trajectory, slipping 5.54 points to 2,714.23 in the pre-open session. This follows Thursday’s close, when the benchmark had already dropped by 6.55 points to 2,719.77.
The Sensitive Index also edged lower, declining 1.32 points, reflecting weakness in large-cap counters.
Trading activity remained moderate, with 34,856 shares of 41 companies changing hands through 93 transactions, totaling NPR 30.2 million. Among the traded stocks, 13 advanced, while 28 declined.
The early weakness signals continued investor caution, with selling pressure outweighing gains at the start of the week. Market participants are expected to watch whether the main session stabilizes or extends the losing streak.
