NEPSE Index Gains but Turnover Remains Limited at Rs. 5.63 Billion
NEPSE continued its upward trend, adding 6.51 points to close at 2,776.90, while daily turnover was capped at Rs. 5.63 billion.

On Tuesday, the NEPSE index extended its recent positive momentum, closing 6.51 points higher at 2,776.90. The Sensitive Index rose 1.73 points, the Float Index increased by 0.40 points, and the Sensitive Float Index added 0.49 points.
Despite the index gains, market turnover contracted compared to the previous session. While Monday’s trading saw Rs. 6.17 billion exchanged, Tuesday recorded Rs. 5.63 billion in turnover across 61,784 transactions involving 1.31 crore shares of 316 listed companies.
Among individual stocks, Sanvi Energy surged 6.98%, Pure Energy gained over 6%, and Eastern Hydropower rose more than 4.5%. On the downside, Narayani Development Bank fell 6.14%, while United Modi Hydropower lost over 4% during the session.
In terms of trading value, United Modi Hydropower topped the session with Rs. 31.72 crore, followed by Himalayan Distillery at around Rs. 28.5 crore, and Radhi Hydropower exceeding Rs. 20 crore.
All 13 sub-indices posted gains, although the increase for each segment remained under 1%.
