NEPSE Rises 2.61 Points in Pre-Open Session Ahead of Final Trading Day
NEPSE inched up by 2.61 points to 2,797.41 during Thursday’s pre-open session, with gains in 32 stocks and total turnover exceeding NPR 12.4 million.

On the final trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index edged up by 2.61 points during the pre-open session, closing at 2,797.41. The gain follows a strong performance on Wednesday, when the benchmark rose by 34.61 points to 2,794.78.
According to NEPSE, the sensitive index—tracking large-cap stocks—also rose by 1.06 points in the pre-market phase.
Thursday morning’s early session saw transactions involving 22,667 shares across 58 listed stocks, totaling NPR 12.44 million in turnover through 82 trades.
Out of the 58 traded stocks:
32 registered price gains
21 recorded declines
5 remained unchanged
The pre-open session’s upward momentum signals mild investor optimism ahead of the main market opening. Traders remain focused on the post-policy sentiment and year-end positioning, especially after Wednesday’s significant recovery in key sub-indices.
